Warranty & Repair

All textiles have been crafted by hand and are subject to slight indifferences and imperfections. Warranty is subject to the makers discretion.

  • It is my philosophy to ensure each and every product has been crafted with the highest standards of quality and care.

  • Each textile is designed to be repaired, maintained and upheld for a long life of wear.

  • I am here to assist you with the repairs and maintenance of your products.

  • Special colours are produced with natural plant based dyes. These dyes are subject to fading. It is encouraged to embrace the nuances of natural ageing. If you are deeply unsatisfied an over-dye treatment may be able available to you. This is only available to scarves which are 100% plant dyed.

  • If your product has been damaged from natural wear and tear I will do my best to assist with the repair.

Care Instructions

Colour Fading

Natural dyes are subject to fading over time.  Please keep textiles out of direct sunlight where they might be exposed for extended durations.  Fading may also occur at fold lines or if your textile is stored for long periods of time in unfavourable conditions (heat, cold, damp).

Washing

Do not wash it often and do not dry clean.  Hand washing in tepid water is recommended.   For cotton scarves machine washing on a delicate cycle is permitted.  Use cold water and a gentle detergent.  Lay flat to dry.  A gentle pressing or steaming is suggested.  If using an iron, pay attention to your heat setting.  Carefully press moving the iron from centre toward one edge, and then centre toward the other edge.  Move all the way up the cloth doing this.  For optimal benefits, press the other side as well.

Snags

Snags may happen (especially if you wear accessories that are prone to catching) - DO NOT cut snags.  Every thread has its place within the cloth, and will go back.  Follow the thread's path and gently guide it back into place.

Abrasion

Constant agitation from rough surfaces may damage the scarf.  It is suggested that you change the folding of your scarf often to avoid increased wear on any one area.

Take Back Program

I believe that all producers should be responsible for making their products with the best intentions and care. I also believe it is the responsibility of each producer to consider what to do after the consumer is finished with their product.

Returns on well-used products

Each handwoven textile that I craft is a precious commodity. They are crafted by hand from the finest quality natural materials. I stand behind all of the products I make and will hold the responsibility of carefully recycling or repurposing used products into something new.

If you are finished with your textile you may send it back to be recycled or repurposed. I will honour this return with a credit towards a new product.

Returns on well-maintained products

If your scarf is in β€œlike-new” condition and you simply want to choose a new scarf to wear, it may qualify for a credit towards something new. Credits will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Evaluations are at the discretion of the maker and dependent on the condition of the product.

Please contact to send back products or to see if you qualify for a credit.
